Reaktol is a catalyst that will serve to harden the silicone to create an orthosis. The dosage is 1 drop of catalyst per gram of silicone. If your orthosis becomes hard too quickly, it means there is too much Reaktol. Conversely, if your orthosis does not harden, it means either there is not enough catalyst or it is expired.

Working method to create an orthosis with the Herbitas starter kit

Wash your hands thoroughly before handling the product.
The patient's foot is slightly moistened.
Using a measuring spoon, take the necessary amount of silicone and knead it well.
Add a few drops of catalyst depending on the amount of silicone (1 drop per gram of silicone).
Mix vigorously for 20 seconds.
Form a ball or a roll depending on the orthosis to be made.
When you feel the silicone becoming less soft, create the orthosis.
Leave the orthosis on the foot for a few minutes.
Gently remove the orthosis from your patient's foot.

Advise the patient to wait 24 hours for the catalyzation to be complete.
