The types of Busch carbide bits

To help you choose your bit according to your needs, here are some details. Each bit will have a reference with letters and numbers: we draw your attention to these letters:

• The Q cut: The bit has vertical lines. This one is used for nail treatment, for hyperkeratosis, and for the modeling of orthoses. You can choose between the GQSR 'Large' cut or the GQSR 'Medium' cut.
• The X cut: The bit has diagonal lines, in waves. This one will treat thick nails. In this model, you will have different cuts:
• The SGX cut will be used for very thick and hard nails
• The GX cut will be used for thick and hard nails
• The X cut will be used for thick nails and their contours
• The FX cut is a cut for the delicate treatment of the nail plate

Some safety and hygiene tips for Busch bits

• Make sure the bit is properly inserted into the mill handpiece
• Do not exceed the maximum speed indicated on the packaging
• Follow the hygiene steps: Pre-disinfection; disinfection; sterilization
• Never brush the bit with a copper brush, but with a synthetic brush
• When disinfecting in an ultrasonic device, make sure not to freely place the bits in the ultrasonic device. Place the bits in a bit holder (for example, Steri-Safe)
• Regardless of the product used for the disinfection of bits, always respect the dosage and soaking time indicated on the product
