The types of Busch carbide bits

To help you better choose your bit according to your need, here are some clarifications below. On each bit will be written a reference with letters and numbers: we draw your attention to these letters:

• The Q cut: The bit presents itself with vertical lines This one is used for the treatment of the nail, for hyperkeratosis and for modeling orthoses. You will have the choice between the GQSR ‘Gros’ cut or the GQSR ‘Moyen’ cut.
• The X cut: The bit presents itself with diagonal lines, in wavesThis one will treat thick nails. In this model, you will have different cuts:
• The SGX cut will be used for very thick and hard nails
• The GX cut will be used for thick and hard nails
• The X cut will be used for the thick nails and its contours
• The FX cut is a cut for the delicate treatment of the nail plate.

Some safety and hygiene tips for Busch bits

• Make sure that the bit is inserted into the handpiece of the milling machine
• Do not exceed the maximum speed indicated on the packaging
• Respect the steps of hygiene: Pre-disinfection; disinfection; sterilization
• Never brush the bit with a copper brush but with a synthetic brush
• During the disinfection in an ultrasonic device, make sure not to freely place the bits in the ultrasonic device. Place the bits in a bit holder ( Steri-Safe for example)
• Whatever product is used for the disinfection of the bits, always respect the dosage and soaking time indicated on the product
