The types of Busch carbide cutters

In order to help you choose your cutter according to your needs, here are some details below. On each cutter will be written a reference with letters and numbers: we draw your attention to these letters:

• The Q cut: The cutter presents with vertical lines. This is used for nail treatment, for hyperkeratoses, and for orthotic modeling. You can choose between the GQSR 'Large' cut or the GQSR 'Medium' cut.
• The X cut: The cutter presents with diagonal lines, in waves. This will treat thick nails. In this model, you will have different cuts:
• The SGX cut will be used for very thick and hard nails
• The GX cut will be used for thick and hard nails
• The X cut will be used for thick nails and their contours
• The FX cut is a cut for delicate treatment of the nail plate.

Some safety and hygiene tips for Busch cutters

• Make sure the cutter is properly inserted into the handpiece of the milling machine
• Do not exceed the maximum speed indicated on the packaging
• Follow the steps of hygiene: Pre-disinfection; disinfection; sterilization
• Never brush the cutter with a copper brush but with a synthetic brush
• During disinfection in an ultrasonic device, make sure not to freely place the cutters in the ultrasonic device. Place the cutters in a cutter holder (for example, Steri-Safe)
• Regardless of the product used for disinfecting the cutters, always follow the dosage and soaking time indicated on the product
